This is cute..... www.google.com/hostednews/ukpress/article/ALeqM5hjjamGeCkhuxKBomqaarI74n9N2wGerard Butler: I'm not a Gamer Gerard Butler has revealed that he's not much of a computer game player. The Scottish actor plays online game-playing Kable in his new sci-fi thriller Gamer, but has admitted that he isn't much of one in real life. "I had tried playing Halo and other games but I wasn't very good, so I would not play often - I was terrible (at Call Of Duty)," he said. "The sad thing is it wasn't the first time I tried to improve at playing (Call Of Duty). I also tried while I was shooting 300 as well. I couldn't play then, and I couldn't play this time." Gerard instead prefers the popular arcade games of the 80s. "I actually do have a video arcade at my home. I have an old arcade game that has 60 games on it," he said. "I have Space Invaders, PacMan, Defender, Asteroids - those games are for us. I need a lot of practice on the newer games." To help him get into role for Gamer, he tried to learn to play games on the Xbox. "They set up an Xbox in my house, one in my trailer - pretty much everywhere so I can gain a deeper understanding of some of the most popular games out on the market," Gerard added.

oh yes, i hear you sophie about the directors.i watched 'crank' with my son and incredibly so, the film (for action) was fresh and reminded me of a spike lee with drastic action...they def need to devel. more quality characters fully who speak...but, none the less i like the style. and okie....me too...i see so much reflection upon our west.civ. culture it is scarey....we need to take a personal note and consider what we will allow into our hearts & minds....the analogy you will appreciate okie...the frog in the pot..
a frog sits in a pot of cool water. undisturbed. slowly the heat rises to the point of boiling the frog to death. we get too used to, dumbed down, so to speak, its all around us, this post modern confusion...we need to remain alert, resist comfort (all the time) and lackadaisical ways (which comes from prosperity, really)
anyhoo,i think its SO groovey gerry plays 80's vid games... galaga and centipede were my fav....

I could never master Pac Man!!! I told my hubby that G was more into arcade type games but the one he got dosen't have Galaga on it which is the game he really wanted. My hubby's eyes shot up and he said Galaga!! That has got to be the best game ever made. I'd like to hang with this guy more every day.

Good to know.
I'm kind of surprised it's not being released sooner. It was out of theaters here in St. Louis before I even had the chance to see it. So, I watched it on-line, but with the movie being so dark, it was hard to see some of the stuff. It'd be nice to see it clearly.
While I didn't think this was G's best movie by far, it wasn't bad. I think 2 out of 4 or 2 1/2 out of 5 is right too (like a previous poster said). It reminded me somewhat of Blade Runner. I'll probably buy it mostly b/c it's G.

I noticed that too, part of the reason why I posted it. I know exactly what I would like to unleash first... that monster hiding in his pants.

Funniest Moments on the set of Gamer... www.towleroad.com/2009/09/gerard-....ass-cheeks.htmlGerard Butler tells Shortlist magazine about the funniest moment on the set of his film Gamer: "This is going to show my maturity now, I wrote to the two directors separately. I wrote that me and the stunt guys are having a blast and sent them half a dozen donuts each as a thank you. They were so chuffed. The next day we got six fresh donuts and shoved them between our ass cheeks... and took a Polaroid. [Butler is in fits] We sent this snap to the directors and sure enough, they thought they’d been eating the very same sugary treats. They freaked out, man...I told you it was going to show my maturity. It was my birthday that day, and in the evening about ten of the cast also dropped trousers to reveal Happy Birthday Gerry written across their cheeks. Come to think of it, there was a little too much ass in the making of this film." I wonder if they were jelly, powdered, or glazed?

I heard his say they were Krispy Kreme and they had a hard time with them falling apart between their ass cheeks. Sounds like some nice fresh Glazed ones to me.
