Okay apparently also my OTHER sister went up later after I left and got in. Gate crashers, lol. EDIT FOR MORE INFO! So, now that I have spent the last hour on the phone with like EVERYONE in my family... My eldest sister, Yvette, went with me. Later after I left, Yvette was talking to some of the crew and my other sister, Yvonne, texted her joking that she wanted to crash. So the crew were all "Tell her to come on up! We'll make sure she gets in!" so her and her friend Monica went up and got in! Gerry spoke to both my sisters and when Yvonne introduced herself to him he said 'But we already met' and she went 'Oh no! That was Misty's OTHER sister Yvette!' and he laughed. He then saw them a few times in the night and remembered which one was which (they do look alike, but are not twins, despite looking alike and having similar names) and spoke to them several times. Also whenever anyone would ask them who they were and they said they were my sisters, everyone apparently remembered who I am! I was 'The redhead with the nice skin' to most of the people. lol. So that was cool. They left at like 3:30 or something. I was long gone and in bed by then. I'm such a lightweight!

For posterity, comments on the wrap party from the C Box Fiera Finally awake! Wrap party was fun. I sang and Gerry sang but we did not sing together. I also missed him singing cuz I left early. I am a lightweight and was zzzzzz. F:Party went until 2 AM, I was at valet waiting for my car around just before 12:30 or so. I got my car around like 12:48 or something. It took a really long time to get the car! F:I only sang one song. Paradise City by GnR. 01 Aug 10 17:06 F:I told Sam Childers I was now following him on twitter. He said he's still learning all that stuff and needs tips. I told him 'Use punctuation!' and laughed. F:He said he's a hillbilly and isn't too good with punctuation so I told him it's okay, my sister and I are hillbillies too and the comma and period are not scary. lol. Canadia: Do you know if they are totally finsihed or this was just the best time to hold the wrap party so the most people could come? F:Don't know. If they aren't totally finished, they're really close. Some crew is already in Africa getting ready so they should be heading there soon now. F:I heard they may have been filming yesterday but don't know for sure. F:And I sing Paradise City a lot. I usually do it near the end of the night when I have no voice left to start, then it's totally gone afterward. But hey, I sang and Gerry, Marc and Sam heard so WOO! F:If I did, I'd probably pass out in my (free) drink ten minutes after I got there. And no, I didn't hear anything about Real Steel yet. Soon I hope, though! F:Well since filming often goes until ungodly hours sometimes, 10 PM isn't too late to start a party I guess. Gotta live the life, right? Glad I don't live it every night. F:I do some rocker style songs. I have a mezzo belt voice that works good for them. OH! And Michelle M was there last night, too. Very sweet. Tiny and quiet. HUGE smile. Bunny007 So where was the party exactly? F:Cheli's in Dearborn. A bar I've been to many a time! Had to explain to some of the LA crew why everything in there was hockey themed. lol!

A cute piece on Madeline Carroll What’s next for Madeline? “I am filming a movie with Gerard Butler called MACHINE GUN PREACHER. It’s so much fun, Gerard is awesome, and hot,” she said laughing. Although MACHINE GUN PREACHER isn’t set to release until next year, we are already excited to see it, Madeline! thedreamagazine.com/madeline-carroll/

I'm listening to "Lady in Red" as I type this -- oh, to have heard Gerry sing this one - there are no words. I didn't think he didn't do ballads, rather just rocking out numbers!! This was definitely a special event to witness!! Wish someone had taped it... Oh, and another thing -- is it just me, or would anyone else like to see Gerry's hair, freshly washed, with no goop in it, left to be long? I'm just curious to see how long it is, and how it would look. I know it's shorter in the back without the extensions, but that might be kinda cool...on Gerry, anyway!! Oh, who am I kidding? I'd just like to run my fingers through it, pull it, mess it up, etc....

All of Detroit is hockey themed and that was why Gerry wearing the Chicago hockey hat in Detroit was a no, no... LOL!!! You know though I was glad someone got him a Tiger baseball cap instead of a Red Wings cap cause Detroit and the old world D is a Detroit tradition and trademark. If he goes anywhere in the world and wheres that cap he's truly representing our city. It will be cool for us Michigan people to see that.

So yesterday I was in the checkout line at the store and my phone rang. Usually if I don't know the number I'll let it go to voice mail if I'm busy or in a busy place like I was, but for some reason I answered it this time. It was one of the guys from MGP telling me that they were having a wrap party that night from 10-2 AM and where it was. I finished checking out and was driving home before it hit me! It's weird because it was at a bar I've been to in an area where I hang out all the time. So that was cool. My sister was my hot date for the night since my husband had already had plans with a friend of his who had been out of town for several weeks and just got home and he didn't want to stand his buddy up (though I'm SURE he would have understood!). So my sister went with me. We got there around 10:10. Yes, we were fashionably on time instead of fashionably late, but all the stuff we did beforehand (like going to eat) took way less time than we thought! Speaking of... the food. omg. Free food and there was a ton and it was ALL SO GOOD. Or at least that's what everyone said and I've had the food there before so I knew it wasn't bad. I'd already eaten though so I wasn't hungry. Plus an open bar. It's odd, though. When I can drink for free, I tend to not really drink. I had one drink and kept sucking down water the rest of the night. Anyway, at first I didn't really know anyone there. There were some people from set who I'd seen before but didn't know, so I kinda hung out with my sister and talked and wandered around a bit. Eventually more and more people I knew showed up. The awesome makeup guys, the woman who did my hair, the head of basecamp who I adore, Gerry's dialect coach Jerome (with his SUPER adorable girlfriend/wife and omg are they so cute together!), my friend Judy who played the employment office worker, etc. And yes, Gerry and Marc were both there, as was the real Sam Childers, who looks nothing like Gerry but man does Sam have a real presence to him. They have that in common! On a side note, Marc introduced me to his girlfriend and she was totally cute and sweet. So he was talking to her and was saying how Michael Shannon is an amazing actor and I'm all 'Yes, I agree totally, he's pretty awesome' and stuff and he starts telling her how in the one scene it's me and him sitting at a table and each take we had to improv and how Michael would just come up with this stuff and I'd roll with it and he was telling her how great of a job I did with it. I dunno if he really MEANT meant it, but hearing him say it made my night. He's SUCH a great guy. But the highlight of the night may have been that I got my weekly fix of karaoke! I unfortunately left before Gerry sang. I left around 12:45ish and the party went until 2 AM. I was tired and had to go get my husband from his buddy's, then it was about a 45 minute drive home for us so I ended up getting home just after 2 AM as it was. I did sing one song! I sang Paradise City by GnR. Later on when I was getting ready to leave and finally went to talk to Gerry (he had people around him ALL NIGHT LONG so I didn't want to interrupt but my sister BEGGED me to introduce them and see if he'd take a picture with her so I couldn't say no!). He was standing in a corner talking to some kids who were playing a game of foosball (not sure whose kids they were) and some adults and he looked up and saw me and waved. I smiled, waved back, we waited a bit then finally we had enough room to go up to him. He hugged me, said hi and that it was nice to see me. I said hi and introduced him to my sister who I thought was going to implode with glee or something. I said I was getting ready to leave and I just wanted to say hi before I left. My sister asked him for a picture so I took one (well two, one was blurry) and then she asked if we could get one of the three of us and grabbed some random guy to take it. It came out blurry but I don't really care. So we talked for a few, then I went to the valet people and got my car which was like a 30 minute process! Stood outside waiting and talking to some of the other crew I knew. My sister had driven herself so she ended up staying and I kept teasing her that she'd have to tell them she was me if they asked her name since there was a list and she was my +1. I think by then they relaxed it a bit though. But we went in and they were really strict about making sure you were on the list! My sister texted me later saying I'd just missed him going up to sing. I dunno what he sang or not, she didn't text me after that and I haven't talked to her yet. So that was the wrap party! I'm pretty sure [Marc] meant what he said and that was way cool of them to call and invite you. That was really nice to bring your sister, glad she had a really great time at the party. Thanks for sharing your night at the wrap party and would you post the pic of you and your sister with Gerry? Yeah. He had asked if I was SURE it was okay if he didn't go. I said it was fine. He'd have had fun, but he HATES karaoke and he didn't know anyone and isn't really the type to enjoy that sort of situation nearly as much as my sister did. My sister left me like 283472347 voice mails and texts about how much fun she had and thanking me so much for taking her. She and her boyfriend just broke up and she's been depressed about it, so I was glad I got to give her a night out. Plus she's kinda part of the whole reason I even tried acting. She's the one who taught me when I was younger that if I wanna do something, I better damn well go and do it because once the chance is gone, it's gone for good. Plus to see her having so much fun made me happy! Apparently he sang 'Lady in Red' which is a good song and I am sorry I missed it. Oh well! And yes, it was very much like a 'regular' night out. It wasn't much different than any other night with my friends. Karaoke up at a bar in Dearborn, like that's any different for me. lol. It's a bar I have been to many times doing something I do all the time so it wasn't too different at all! He sang Lady in Red?? I would have loved to have heard that....I always loved that song. *sighs* And to hear Gerry sing it...

I'm so glad you got invited to the wrap party & had a good time! Would have loved to have heard your rendition of "Paradise City"...that is one of my fave GNR songs. They're currently using it for "The Expendables" movie promo here in Oz & I get excited everytime I hear it....love the guitar solo at the end...Slash rocks! And Gerry singing "Lady In Red".....him singing anything is damn fine but I can just imagine how HOT that would be (& I don't even really like the original version of that song).
