And maybe they don't need Gerry for whatever they have left to shoot in Detroit or for example Michelle and Michael won't be going to South Africa, I imagine and I believe there are scenes where Sam is off in Africa and the friend is uh helping Lynn cope without having her husband around, they may have taken that into consideration in the planning? Get all the shots with Gerry done, shove him off to South Africa, M & M can finished off their scenes without Gerry back in Detroit.
Maybe Sam is heading up because there is supposed to be a wrap party?

I think you maybe right Canadia that they could be having a wrap party for the Detroit shoot since Gerry's friend is also in town. It will be interesting to see how long they will be shooting in S. Africa. I think Coriolanus was shot in only 2 months. But, I imagine this could take longer if they are not shooting near a major city.

Regarding Gerry's lady friend, I am thrilled that they are still together. I'm not crazy about casual flings. I would love to see him settled down with one special lady, I don't think he is the type to get married but a nice monogamist relationship with a baby or two would be great.

Three months is the number being thrown around as the length of the shoot in SA.
According to Gerry's friend Facebook she is supposed to be in Corsica right now.
Ralph filmed Corionlanus in good time and from my observations, 2 months is standard indy shoot if they are lucky, LOL, but in larger budget film 3 - 4 months is pretty standard and sometimes longer if there is a lot of complicated stuff to shoot or lot of location shifts, like from country to country etc or you have a difficult director like Stanley Kubrick or Oliver Stone.

New pixs... Misty in her trailer... You can see my picture in the mirror. Misty with the t-shirt she gifted to Gerry. How did he like it and what did he say? My picture of the bar where we filmed that day... My outfit I wore to be an extra for the bar scene with Gerry. Dianne biker slut! This is the trailer lot or ground zero... not the greatest picture because it was taken for the parking lot. One of those trailers is Gerry's, probably the one half pictured. The long silver trailer is where Misty's dressing room was located. Notice on the silver trailer, the blue sign and then the stairs next to it is the pink sign. The blue sign said Desi, and the pink sign said Lucy... those were the rest rooms.

Wow, three months filming in S Africa! I didn't think this film had a big budget and Gerry said in a recent article that the film "This is not a big, flashy project." www.dailyrecord.co.uk/news/editors-choice/2010/07/17/scots-actor-gerard-butler-plays-drug-dealer-turned-angel-of-africa-86908-22419602/ I heard the movie's budget was going to be a modest $20 million indi film the same as Coriolanus initially. Maybe they got additional funding for the project. Or maybe cost of filming in S. Africa is not as expensive. Edited to add: Dianne & Misty great photos both of you look like Biker chicks for sure! Thanks for sharing. I think this is going to be the closest I will ever get to have an inside look at the filming of a Gerry movie and I thank you both for that

well Gerry's concept of what is not big and flashy might not be ours.........
I would imagine filming in SA is a good deal, they are getting a great deal in Detroit, 42 per cent tax break, that is huge

Awesome pics, Di; love your outfit, and Misty, I liked the tshirt you gifted Gerry with. I found this on Yahoo News about Rhema Marvanne, the adorable 7-year old gospel singer: Amazing Voice: 7-Year-Old Gospel Singer Belts Whitney And Celine Songs Posted Wed Jul 28, 2010 3:00pm PDT by Billy Johnson, Jr. in Video Ga Ga We hope Jennifer Aniston doesn't get jealous, but there's a new, younger woman in Gerard Butler's life, and she can sing, too.. Earlier this month, Rhema Marvanne, a 7-year-old gospel singer from Carrollton, Texas, taped a scene in Butler's new film Machine Gun Preacher. In the movie Butler plays a drug dealer-turned-crusader on a mission to save kids. . "During his baptism, Rhema is actually singing 'Amazing Grace' at that pillar moment [Butler] goes from a bad guy to a good guy and then goes to South Africa to save all the little kids from the war," said Teton Voaritskul, Rhema's dad.. Amazing Grace - Incredible 7yr old singer @ Yahoo! Video . "It felt great," Rhema said about making her theatrical debut. "It felt like God is really proud of me and he's smiling right at me.". YouTube videos of Rhema performing "Amazing Grace," "O Holy Night," Celine Dion's "The Prayer" with Terry White, and Whitney Houston's "I Love The Lord" have generated more than a million streams.. . People searching for holiday music found Rhema's "O Holy Night" in December and sparked hundreds of thousands of plays. The Maury Povich Show contacted Rhema's father to feature her on its Most Talented Kids 2010, and Korean show Star King also booked her as a guest.. Rhema began singing when she learned to speak. Her mother, Wendi Marvanne, who was a local gospel singer, died of ovarian cancer in 2008. She often sang with Rhema and rehearsed plays.. As a tribute to her mother, Rhema will focus on gospel music. "Out of my love for [my wife] and out of respect for her wishes I thought Rhema has incredible singing skills and talent, I wanted to do something she would be happy with and follow in her footsteps," Voaritskul said.. Rhema said her mother and Houston are her favorite singers, but Dion's classical "The Prayer" with Andrea Bocelli was her toughest vocal hurdle. "It's actually the hardest song I've ever sung before," she said. "I actually like it. It's a great song.". Major record labels have been calling Voaritskul to discuss potential record deals, but her father is not making any hasty decisions. "Our focus is not trying to see how big we can be or how much money we can make," he said. "We just want to try to produce something that represents Rhema and something that goes along with our mission and ministry. If we find someone who can accommodate that or is willing to work with that or wants to do that, if it's a good fit, we will definitely consider it.". Rhema is currently working on a gospel album, a Christmas album, and taking on singing dates across the nation. She released her six-track, self-titled debut in May. new.music.yahoo.com/blogs/videogaga/52593/amazing-voice-7-year-old-gospel-singer-belts-whitney-and-celine-songs/
