Hi--not sure what's appropriate when mentioning other boards, websites, etc. so please let me know if I go wrong. GBNet gallery shows the program from that Coriolanus production and Gerry's photo and brief bio blurb. He is clean shaven in that picture so perhaps he may also be the fellow on the right end? or one of the others?
Apparently the production was "stylized" and Berkoff avant-guard or otherwise out of the mainstream. Maybe that's the whole cast. Anyway, great picture--thanks for posting

What is the photo suppose to represent?
Same clothes, same pose, and eye glasses. Looks negative to me.

Seeing as the play is mostly about the military I think it's mostly about be uniform.

From what little I know of this production I believe Berkoff set the production in 1930's Europe

Alan Rickman was involved in one and the actors just sit around in a circle with script in hand and go through their lines without having to fully act out the part. I guess you can compare it to doing a voice for a cartoon or a radio show. I guess you are acting with your voice. There is and audience as well. I think if you are in the audience you can close your eyes and get the effect of great story telling. Gerry's group don't have their script though. When Alan Rickman did it, if I remember right, I think Eddie Izzard was involved. I found it, there are no scripts, Rickman had a magazine.  www.youtube.com/watch?v=7Lb-2VaJYPw |

Yeah he musta been bored just sitting there, you know how active our Gerry is. He looks cool in his shades though.
But in the play I guess they're trying to be uniform cos they want to show that deep down inside all men are there same.

Wish I could have seen Berkoff's production. Would have been interesting in the compare and contrast to Fiennes vision.
